Traditionally our adventure or budget camping has usually been combined with lodges or tented camps to provide a good quality safari at a reasonable price, still with our well-respected and experienced guides of course! Adventure/ budget camping costs will vary depending on the length and number of travelers, cost will usually start at around $220 per person per day slightly increasing depending on the number of nights spent in premium parks (Serengeti and Ngorongoro) We use National Park campsites in Serengeti and Ngorongoro which have European-style toilets and hot showers provided by the park authorities. Hot shower water can also be provided by our staff in a bucket so don’t be afraid to ask. When in Mkomazi, Sand River and Sadaani as well as other off-the-beaten-path locations we also supply shower and toilet tents. We also offer budget safari in private sites in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro and supply shower and toilets tents. Long-drop toilets will be dug in the Conservation Area and a tripod toilet seat provided and a shower tent will be erected with hot heated water. All camping equipment is made in Tanzania with Tanzania tent makers and made from Morogoro Canvas products, large 3.0 or 3.5-meter square, walk-in dome tents, camp cot-style beds with mattresses, cotton sheets towels and Woolen blankets. We provide proper pillows, towels, bath soap and toilet paper. With larger groups i.e., more than 8, there is also a mess tent, a long-covered trestle table and fisherman’s stools with green canvas back for each client. Food is of a good and plentiful standard with specialist dietary requirements catered for with due notice. Breakfast consists of a choice of fruits and cereals, as well as sausages, bacon, eggs and toast. Dinner is usually a three-course meal.
